Parent Training Nights

Each quarter we choose a topic given to us by parents, and present that topic from different perspectives, often including a parental perspective

Topics include:

* A team approach for success in school

* Nose blowing, pill swallowing & haircuts!

* Running a successful play date

* Getting ready for your IEP, parent ideas & feedback

* Dealing with challenging behaviors

* Understanding and utilizing Occupational Therapy tips at home

* Executive functioning and community life planning

These parent training nights are free to families currently receiving services from our clinic.  Others are welcome to register and participate- contact our office!

As a team, we support all aspects of therapy in our programs.  A "calming" obstacle course has been incorporated into the clinic for students prior to learning when they do not have an OT session.  Language practice and visuals are throughout the clinic.  Behavior suggestions and support are provided to all team members as needed!
