About Kelly:
Kelly McKinnon, MA, BCBA is owner and Clinical Director of Kelly McKinnon & Associates. Kelly has her Master's Degree from Boston College, has a Certificate of Completion in Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Education from Penn State, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Kelly has over 17 years experience working with adults and children with various developmental disabilities. Kelly got her start in 1993 working in Massachusetts overseeing group and independent living facilities with adults dually diagnosed (developmental disabilities and mentally ill), deaf and/or blind, and behaviorally challenged. Kelly worked to help several adults with disabilities buy their first homes, use public transportation and hold down jobs. Kelly moved to California in 2002 where she completed her first book, opened her own practice, and began consulting with local schools and organizations. Kelly has, with her partner Joan Hersh, MA started Every Opportunity Productions, which has completed its first video in a series of videos using video modeling to teach play skills to young children. Kelly currently sits on the board of Spirit League, a non-profit sports league for children with disabilities, www.spiritleague.org and New Vista School, a not-for profit middle school and high school for children with autism, www.newvistaschool.org. Kelly is currently on Senator Correa's Autism Task Force, and is on the board of RocktheAutism, http://www.facebook.com/RockTheAutism and sits as a community member on the Capistrano Unifed CAC council.
